Leak repairs to the main water lines may introduce air pockets into the water system. This may be resolved by opening the water faucet closest to your water meter. This is usually an outside faucet. Remove any attachments such as the water hose. Open the valve all the way and let this water flow until there are no signs of air (cloudy, milky water or sounds of sputtering). Once that line is free of air work your way through your inside plumbing doing the same on the cold water side only.
